Our Beliefs

We believe in the God of creation who made heaven and earth, who has made Himself and His message of salvation in Jesus Christ known through the Bible. Our faith is not a blind leap into the unknown; it is assurance of eternal life grounded in the truth of God's Word. We believe that the purest human expression of Bible teaching is found in the Westminster Confession of Faith with the Larger and Shorter Catechism. Therefore we believe...

The Bible

We believe in the God of creation who made heaven and earth, who has made Himself and His message of salvation in Jesus Christ known through the Bible. Our faith is not a blind leap into the unknown; it is assurance of eternal life grounded in the truth of God's Word. We believe that the purest human expression of Bible teaching is found in the Westminster Confession of Faith with the Larger and Shorter Catechism. Therefore we believe...

God

We believe in one living, sovereign and true God, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, coequal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross; a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He now is our High Priest and Advocate.

Holy Spirit

We believe that God's Holy Spirit dwells within Christians, giving them the daily strength and wisdom they need to walk according to His will and to grow in holiness.

Man

We believe that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God, but that through Adam's sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. We believe that all people are sinners and are unable to save themselves or even cooperate with God in efforts to earn their salvation.

Salvation

We believe that God graciously provided a plan of salvation for fallen people. In this plan, Jesus Christ has become our representative, taking our sins upon himself, having offered himself as a sacrifice to satisfy divine justice and to reconcile us to God. We receive salvation as a free gift from God by grace through faith in Christ alone through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Baptism

Baptism is a sign of God's covenant and is properly administered to children of believers in their infancy, as well as to those who come as adults to trust in Christ.

Future Hope

We believe that Jesus Christ shall return personally, visibly and bodily to judge all mankind and to receive His people unto Himself. The Gospel of God's salvation in Jesus Christ must be published to all the world as a witness before Jesus Christ returns. We believe that those who are truly redeemed are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever.
