Ways to Serve at Good Shepherd

Psalm 100:2 "Serve the LORD with gladness"

Here you will find the several different areas of where you can help serve at Good Shepherd.  If you need more information on any of these areas please contact the office and we would be glad to assist you.

Nursery - Help serve our littlest members is one of the best ways to connect with our families at Good Shepherd.  Not only does it give our parents a break to know that their children will be loved and cared on, it also is a great way to love those precious little children.  Volunteers typically serve once every 2 months in our Nursery.

Children's Church - One of the great attributes of Good Shepherd has been our care for our children.  We not only want to love upon them, but we want to guide them in their early steps with teaching them about the love of Jesus Christ.  Lessons follow a curriculum that is easy for anybody to lead our kids aged 3 through the 1st grade.  Volunteers typically serve once every 2 months in our Children's Church.

Youth Group - Here is another great way to serve our children.  Our middle school and high school students are in need of adult mentors.  If you have a heart to serve our youth this is a great place to plug in at.  Volunteer service times vary, but the youth group meets every Wednesday night regularly along with some other special events that take place for each month.

Mercy Meal Ministry - Volunteers assist members of the congregation with the provision of a prepared meal in times of need.

Church Workday - Good Shepherd holds periodic workdays to take care of some spring cleaning and maintenance items around the church.

Vegetable Garden - Good Shepherd helps to stock the Feed My People food pantry with fresh produce grown right here at church!  There are plenty of opportunities to help with planting, watering, harvesting and delivering the vegetables.

Lawn Care Teams - Another seasonal opportunity for anyone who enjoys riding a mower.

Flower Garden TeamsThese teams provide maintenance of the landscaped areas around the church building.  There are ample opportunities for those who enjoy working outdoors.  Helping hands are always welcome!

Women's Steering Team - The Women's Steering Team invites new members each year.  The team meets monthly to plan fellowship, service and outreach events for all of the women at Good Shepherd.

Easter and Christmas Choirs - Do you love to sing?  Music is a big part of the worship at Good Shepherd.  We gather the choir twice per year for Easter and Christmas worship celebrations.

Children's Bell Choir - Kids who are kindergarten age through the 5th grade are all welcome to join in the Children's Bell Choir.  The Bell Choir provides a monthly offertory and are led and supervised by volunteers who guide them through rehearsals and performances.
